Mummy’s little tip of the day – It was a lovely experience writing my little things that make me happy. I’d recommend it, it gets you thinking about your life and where you are at. Helps you focus on the good things in your life. If your having a crappy day I’m sure this little tip would help turn your day around a little.

The More You Talk The More You Learn

Once you talk you soon realise you are not alone…

I have always been a glass half full kind of girl. However the sleepless nights and constant crying can slowly make my half full glass, half empty 😦

I caught up with 8 of my lovely girlfriends last night. It had been ages since I had seen these girls and we all agreed it had been far too long since our last catch up and would organise another much sooner! We are a nice mix of friends, all quite different, all like to have a good time and all enjoy each others company. We all have common ground, we all have children and all agree having children isn’t always easy and isn’t always fun and laughter.

By talking with the ladies last night I instantly felt supported, cared for. Talking made some hard topics we were all sharing a little lighter. The bottom line is, we are not alone. It’s ok to admit some days/nights are bloody hard and some times it is normal to feel like you want to give up, give in and sometimes wish you weren’t a parent. Talking for me has been a real outlet. The last few months have been challenging, running on minimal sleep, sick hubby and new career. It’s all going on!! However I can see the light, it’s near and things are beginning to go really well…….however I could always do with a little more sleep. I feel if I didn’t talk and chose to hold it in I’d be in a very different place right now.  I love my boys and love being a mum and I know there are good days, great day and some that aren’t so pleasant.

Mummy’s little tip of the day – If you are feeling overwhelmed find that person or people to talk to. You will soon realise you aren’t alone. It’s always great to hear what other mums have done in a similar situation. Or for me just hearing other friends have reacted in similar ways to how I have off minimal sleep. It normalises feelings and thoughts you might be experiencing. We are trying our best to be great parents and that’s enough, that’s all we need to do. Like I always say, Be Kind To Yourself!!
