Hello, It’s Been Ages!!

Yay I have a chance to write….

While my dinner is cooking, the little boys are in bed and Zaci is comfy on a bean bag having down time watching his favorite shows I thought I’d say a BIG Hello to you lovely people.

Days are flying into each other and before I knew it, it had been weeks since I have blogged. We are all doing wonderfully, the boys are well, my hubby’s business is pumping and I have been working extra hours as well. I managed to join the gym again which I am so pleased about! Nothing like a good workout in the morning to get the brain and oxygen powering around.

I chose an all ladies gym this time. I must say it’s the friendliest gym I have ever been too. I love seeing little old ladies pump bigger weights then me!! 🙂  I’m definitely out of form in that department haha

If I could give an mumma advice about joining a gym these would be my tips….

Mummy’s little tip of the day – Find a gym close to home or on the way to work. If it’s either of these, it makes it very convenient and easy to go to. I’ve done some research and I found the ladies gyms had the cheapest child care. My gym has a few sessions you can choose from. Make sure the duration of care allows you to have time after your workout for a coffee/tea and breakfast or light meal. Having this peace while the kiddies are being looked after is essential. Gives you time to wind down. If there is enough time to shower as well this is a bonus. Do your research, call around for the best deal. It definitely pays off!

Hope you are all well! Great to be back typing again….. Mwahhhhh 🙂

It Was Nearly Naked!!

When you use something day in day out and then it no longer works you feel stuck!

I think karma has bitten me on my butt! I wrote about my washing chores a few weeks back. The never ending cycle of washing, blaming my washing machine for eating some of our socks and if I skip a day I’m in trouble. Well……I think my washing machine felt offended. Why you might ask?! It blew up last week. It was half way through a cycle and then BANG……BANG! There was a funny smell,  I opened the door. The clothes were soaking wet and the huge amount of smoke bellowed out of the door. OMG, I had never seen this before. It was crazy, it literally blew up!

I went a few days sending my washing to my In-Laws. Fortunately they live 5 minutes away. It was nice someone else doing my washing for me, thought I knew it would be short lived.

Finally two days ago our new washing machine arrived and thank goodness! I can now get back to getting on top of the washing and have that soothing sound of the washing going round and around! 😉

I don’t think I will jinx myself again. It was crazy not having a washing machine!! haha

Enjoy your Sunday! For my fellow Melbourne followers, stay warm and stay dry!! It’s bloody freezing out there!!  🙂

Something I get asked all of the time..

‘Bilie, How do you manage to fit everything in’? I hear this question many times a day!

IMG_7357

I am a mother of 3 under 3, I work, I blog and currently developing some future ventures. Life is full and I wouldn’t have it any other way 🙂

I do fit it all in. It’s all about time management, I don’t over commit to anything and have plenty of time for my hubby and boys. It’s all about knowing limits and being productive. I love down time. There are many days I turn my phone on silent and roll and tumble with the boys, just the 4 of us.

I do run my life like an appointment book, for the people who know me know I am very organised. The days/nights I work I give myself windows of realistic time to get things done.  I do say ‘No’ to catch ups and outings if I feel we all need time out. (It’s not often though again I know our limits) I know if there has been a few days and I’m feeling tired I think about my boys and triple that feeling, the last thing I want is my family feeling exhausted.

My family and friends are very kind to me, they constantly ask me if I need assistance and help in any way. I do take them up on offers when I need. And they all know any time they need me I am there.

I talk about balance, everyone’s balance is different. It’s good to know what works for you and the family.

Mummy’s little tip of the day – Think about the ‘time consuming’ things in your life.

One of mine is grocery shopping. I don’t go out for grocery shopping, I order it all on line. I have it delivered to my house once a week and generally it lasts for a week. I buy food and ingredients that are flexible. I can then choose what dishes day to day. I also have my fruit and vegetables delivered from my local green grocer. I find this type of shopping is a huge time waster. I then use the time I have saved to go out with the boys and do activities. For me it’s all about using my time in a productive way…….Balance.

10 Simple Pleasures..

Here are 10 simple pleasures as a mum. If you manage any one of these…..Yes you deserve a High-Five!!

IMG_7329

  1. Finding the TV remote, the missing shoe or your partners keys.
  2. Walking into a room and actually remembering what you went in there for.
  3. Opening the boot of your car and managing to catch the loose items from falling on the ground.
  4. Having a meal and sitting at the same time.
  5. Going to the supermarket, and walking out with the important things on your memory list.
  6. Getting out of your PJ’s by midday.
  7. Getting time to fold your washing.
  8. Matching all of your socks 😉
  9. Getting out of the house and remembering most of your babies items.
  10. Remembering someone’s birthday…..even if you are a day or so late!

Mummy’s little tip of the day – Be kind to yourself, give yourself a pat on the back when you feel you’ve done something well or in your mind right. We do forget, we do run late, we can put ourselves last, we sometimes have unrealistic high expectations…….Take a Breath and remember it’s OK if things don’t always go to plan, and it’s not the end of the world if we forget something or run late……… It’s OK!!

Have a lovely Sunday gorgeous followers! 🙂

And It Goes Round And Round…

My washing machine that is! However most of the time it’s my head too..

IMG_7285

Hands up who’s washing machine is on consistently? I have a feeling there are many nods and hands 😉 If I miss a day popping the washing machine on, I fall so far behind.

One thing I have noticed with all of these boys, (my hubby included), is the amount of socks! Goodness ! I don’t wear socks much at all. The sock situation drives me crazy! Not washing them, not searching for them in the washing basket and then matching them, the problem is half of them are missing…….What the?! When I take them off the boys they are together and placed in the washing basket together. Between washing, drying and searching…. they are gone!! Do washing machines really eat them? Hey……………I used to laugh when my Nan said this. Though I must say I think I believe what she used to say now. It drives me crazy lol!!

Mummy’s tip of the day – To cut down washing with little bubs, one-sies are your best friend. They are easy to change quickly, don’t require socks or mittens. And it’s only one piece vs potentially 3 items of clothing. My little boys are in them every day. And I wish they could stay in them til they are 5, however I don’t think this would be socially acceptable for them with their friends 😉

‘Happy Friday Eve’ Gorgeous People! Mwaahhhh! xx

What to do with kiddies when it’s cold outside!

What on earth do we do when it’s cold or raining outside?

IMG_7273

It’s challenging to find activities for the kids when the weather outside isn’t very nice. I know right now there are many children in Victoria on school holidays. Some of you lucky people are away somewhere nice and warm. (I’d love to be there too!) However I am with the rest of us, here in Melbourne where the weather isn’t too bad however not that great either. I came across some ‘Stir Crazy Solutions’ for kiddies who need some entertainment. And for some parents who already need a break!
